Architect & Engineer Specifications - SR835

The crossover shall be dual-channel 2-way, switchable to single-channel 3-way by means of a front-panel switch with LED indicator. Filter type shall be 18 dB/octave Butterworth. In stereo 2-way mode, each channel shall have a rotary input gain control with 0 to +15 dB range, with low and high rotary output level controls, each ranging from minus infinity to 0 dB. A rotary low/high crossover frequency control per channel shall be variable from 100 Hz to 10 kHz in two ranges. A front panel X10 frequency range switch shall be located next to each low/high crossover frequency control with an LED indicator to show that the X10 range is engaged.

When switched to mono 3-way mode, channel one's input gain control, low output level control, low/high frequency control, and X10 range switch shall be active, while the high output level control shall be inactive. The low output level control shall remain the low output level control in mono mode and the low/high frequency control shall become the low/mid control.

Similarly, in mono mode, channel two's low and high output level controls, low/high frequency control, and X10 range switch shall e active, while the remaining input gain control shall be inactive. The low output level control shall become the mid output level control and the high output level control shall remain the high output level control. The low/high frequency control shall become the mid/high control.

The inputs shall be electronically balanced/unbalanced on 1/4" TRS jacks. The outputs shall consist of low and high outputs on both balanced 1/4" TRS and unbalanced 1/4" TS jacks. Additionally, a mono low sum output, summed after the low level controls of the two channels, shall be an impedance-balanced/unbalanced 1/4" TRS jack. In mono mode, the outputs which correspond to the remaining active front-panel controls shall be active, while the other outputs, including he mono sum output, shall be inactive and unusable.

A front-panel rocker-type power switch shall provide visual indication with red marking. The power supply shall be internal with a thermally-fused transformer mounted in a low hum orientation. The transformer and primary side of the power supply shall be isolated from the secondary and electronics by means of a steel hum isolation shield. The power cord shall be detachable from an international standard IEC 320 power inlet receptacle. Unit shall be constructed to meet or exceed all applicable international safety and regulatory agencies. Unit shall be powered by 120 VAC 60 Hz (or 100 VAC 50/60 Hz, 230 VAC 50 Hz, 240 VAC 50 Hz). Unit housing shall be of all steel construction and shall be rack-mountable in an IEC standard 19"x rack and shall occupy a 1U (1.75") rack space. An optional security cover must be available.

The unit shall be a DOD SR835 Stereo 2-Way/Mono 3-Way Crossover.
